We are a group of anglers of varied ages and backgrounds, who come together with a shared love for a very special place. We work together to preserve what makes Woldale special and to manage and restore the area for the benefit of wildlife, anglers and the wider landscape.
We are very aware that we are only the current custodians of an area that has a rich heritage, both in terms of it’s landscape and angling. We are a club that is guided by and works for its members and we embrace diversity, both in terms of our membership and their choice of quarry.
We hold regular volunteer working parties where members contribute to the management of the fishery and surrounding land, and we also work to achieve improvements and restoration of the area by sourcing external funding where available.
We have managed Woldale continuously, in partnership with the landowner, for over 70 years.
